- Add herbs, spices, corn kernels, grated cheese or finely chopped onion if you like. Add 10 to 15 minutes to the baking time if you do.
- Mix everything together in a large bowl (do not knead). Add a little water if the dough is too dry. Place the dough in a greased loaf tin. Bake at 180º C for 30 minutes in a preheated oven. Leave to cool down for ten minutes on a wire rack.
- This recipe can be used for pot bread (potbrood) as well.
- 500g self-raising flour
- 1 can of beer (340ml)
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp melted butter or olive oil (for greasing the tin)
