Ingredients
- 500g BMS Plain Wors
- 410g canned baked beans in tomato sauce
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 onion, thinly sliced
- 1 tsp garlic paste
- 2-3 tsp curry powder
- 1 tsp chilli powder
- 1 tomato, chopped or pureed
- Salt and pepper to taste
Method
- Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large saucepan over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the BMS Plain Wors and cook for 2 minutes, turning every minute until browned. Remove the wors from the pan and set aside on a chopping board.
- In the same pan, add the remaining olive oil and sauté the onion until translucent. Add the garlic paste and cook for another minute until fragrant. While the onions cook, cut the wors into finger-length pieces. Return the cut wors to the pan.
- Stir in the curry powder, chilli powder, and turmeric, and cook for a minute to release their flavours. Add the chopped tomato and cook for about 5 minutes until softened.
- Pour in the canned baked beans with tomato sauce, water, and season with salt and pepper to taste. Allow the mixture to simmer for a couple of minutes.
- Return the chopped wors to the pan and continue cooking for a few more minutes until everything is heated through and the flavours are well combined.
