{"id":32804,"date":"2025-04-17T09:37:13","date_gmt":"2025-04-17T09:37:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bluffmeatsupply.co.za\/touchscreen\/?post_type=recipe&#038;p=32804"},"modified":"2025-09-26T12:42:49","modified_gmt":"2025-09-26T12:42:49","slug":"beef-stroganoff","status":"publish","type":"recipe","link":"https:\/\/bluffmeatsupply.co.za\/touchscreen\/index.php\/recipe\/beef-stroganoff\/","title":{"rendered":"Beef Stroganoff"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Ingredients<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">500g beef strips<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tbsp olive oil<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 onion, sliced<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 clove of garlic<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tbsp butter<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">250g mushrooms, sliced<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tbsp plain flour<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">150g Greek yoghurt\/ sour cream<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1 tsp English mustard<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">100ml beef stock<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00bd small pack of parsley, chopped<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4>Method<\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">1.Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a non-stick frying pan then add 1 sliced onion and cook on a medium heat until completely softened, around 15 mins, adding a little splash of water if it starts to stick.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">2.Crush in 1 garlic clove and cook for 2-3 mins more, then add 1 tbsp butter.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">3.Once the butter is foaming a little, add 250g sliced mushrooms and cook for around 5 mins until completely softened. Season everything well, then tip onto a plate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">4.Tip 1 tbsp plain flour into a bowl with a big pinch of salt and pepper, then toss 500g sliced fillet steak in the seasoned flour.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">5.Add the steak pieces to the pan, splashing in a little oil if the pan looks dry, and fry for 3-4 mins, until well coloured.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">6.Tip the onions and mushrooms back into the pan.
