{"id":33378,"date":"2025-05-26T14:15:40","date_gmt":"2025-05-26T14:15:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/bluffmeatsupply.co.za\/touchscreen\/?post_type=recipe&#038;p=33378"},"modified":"2025-11-25T12:42:31","modified_gmt":"2025-11-25T12:42:31","slug":"grilled-lamb-kababs","status":"publish","type":"recipe","link":"https:\/\/bluffmeatsupply.co.za\/touchscreen\/index.php\/recipe\/grilled-lamb-kababs\/","title":{"rendered":"Grilled Lamb Kababs"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3>Ingredients<\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li>500g boneless lamb breast<\/li>\n<li>Kosher salt and black pepper<\/li>\n<li>1 medium yellow onion<\/li>\n<li>5 garlic cloves<\/li>\n<li>1 teaspoon allspice<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon nutmeg<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd teaspoon cardamom<\/li>\n<li>1 cup packed fresh parsley<\/li>\n<li>1\/3 cup extra virgin olive oil<\/li>\n<li>Juice and zest of 1 lemon<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Method<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Cut the lamb into 1 to 1 1\/2 -inch cubes or pieces and put them in a large bowl. Season with kosher salt and black pepper.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">In the bowl of a food processor fitted with a blade, combine the onion, garlic, spices, parsley, olive oil and lemon juice. Cover and run the processor until everything is finely chopped.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Pour the onion marinade over the lamb and mix well to make sure all the lamb is well coated with the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for up to 2 hours. (If you do not have time, leave the kabobs to marinate at room temperature for about 30 minutes).<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Brush the grates of a gas grill (or an indoor griddle) with oil and heat.<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Shake excess marinade off and thread the lamb pieces on some long skewers, allowing a little room between pieces (I used 6 wooden skewers that have been soaked in water).<\/li>\n<li aria-level=\"1\">Assemble the lamb kabobs in one single layer over your heated grill or griddle.
